CONCLUSION The antimicrobial efficacy for the USDA Certified Biobased Cleaner is present. This product exhibited very strong killing activity after a minute contact time with both gram • and gram bacteria, with a reduction in viable colt numbers greater than 99.999996 for most of the organ-isms tested. A greater than 99.99% reduction in viable cell numbers was observed with bacterial endospores of Bacillus atropheus Visible cell numbers with the yeast Candida albicans were reduced by 99.9% after a one minute contact period The strong antimicrobial activity observed most probably is the result of an extremely low pH (1.61).
