Legacy is a vigorous highbush blueberry hybrid released by the USDA and the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station. It produces high-quality, firm berries in late midseason and is especially noted for a very small picking scar, very good flavor, and a long fruiting season.

Pollination
Legacy is generally self-fertile, but another compatible highbush cultivar can improve berry size and yield. Its long bloom period can overlap several cultivars, including Liberty and Chandler.
Planting and Care
Grow in full sun and acidic, well-drained soil, ideally around pH 4.5–5.5. Keep the shallow root system evenly moist and mulched. In colder exposed sites, choose a protected location because Legacy is less cold-hardy than many Northern Highbush cultivars.
