Propagation guidance

Start with the right match for your plant. Cutting type and plant variety both matter when choosing a rooting powder. Check the Hormex plant list to choose the right strength for your plant.

Take a fresh stem cutting with clean shears, cutting just below a node. Remove lower leaves, moisten the cut base with clean water and dip the base in powder. Tap off excess before planting in a suitable rooting medium, such as coco coir, peat moss or soil.

Keep the medium lightly moist, not waterlogged, and provide growing conditions suited to your plant. Rooting time varies with the plant variety, cutting condition and propagation environment.
