Take back control of your growing space without harsh synthetic chemicals. Phydura's fast-acting, OMRI Listed formula delivers visible results in under an hour — knocking down weeds and grasses so you can get back to growing what matters. Whether you're managing a commercial operation, a greenhouse, or a backyard garden, Phydura gives you a powerful, biodegradable solution that works on contact and lets you replant within hours.

Why Phydura

Phydura stands apart from conventional herbicides by combining clove oil, lactic acid, potassium oleate, vinegar, and water into a formula that's both effective and environmentally responsible. Unlike synthetic herbicides that can linger in the soil and threaten surrounding plant life through translocation, Phydura breaks down naturally and stays where you apply it — protecting your desirable plants while eliminating the competition.

Growers choose Phydura because it delivers the knockdown speed they need without the regulatory burden, re-entry restrictions, or soil contamination risks of conventional options. It's OMRI Listed for organic use, making it the go-to choice for certified organic operations and eco-conscious growers who refuse to compromise on results.

Key Benefits

  • Fast Knockdown Action – Weeds begin wilting within 30–60 minutes of application, with active die-off within 24 hours.
  • OMRI Listed for Organic Use – Approved for use in certified organic production, giving you compliance confidence.
  • Biodegradable Formula – Made with clove oil and other naturally derived ingredients that break down safely in the environment.
  • No Soil Translocation – Won't migrate through the soil to damage the roots of nearby desirable plants.
  • Rapid Re-Entry & Replanting – Enter treated areas immediately after spraying; begin new plantings within hours of application.
  • Broad Weed Spectrum – Effective on both annual and perennial weeds and grasses; perennials may require multiple applications to fully eliminate roots.
  • Concentrated Value – Sold as a 2x2.5 gallon case, providing high-volume coverage for large-scale operations.

Use Cases

  • Preparing and maintaining weed-free planting beds and gardens before new crop cycles.
  • Keeping rows clear in orchards and vineyards without risking root damage to established trees and vines.
  • Spot treating in greenhouses where chemical residue and re-entry intervals are a concern.
  • Clearing fence lines, walkway edges, and hardscape borders around buildings, patios, and driveways.
  • Edging around trees, shrubs, and ornamentals where precision application is critical.
  • Killing off old, diseased, or overgrown lawns prior to renovation and replanting.

Directions for Use

  • Apply Phydura directly to target weeds and grasses using a sprayer calibrated for your coverage area.
  • Spray to thoroughly wet the foliage of target plants; avoid runoff.
  • Take care to prevent spray contact with desirable plants — Phydura is non-selective and will affect all vegetation it contacts.
  • For annual weeds, a single application is typically sufficient.
  • For perennial weeds, repeat applications may be necessary to fully eliminate root systems.
  • Re-entry is permitted immediately after spraying. New plantings can begin within hours of application.
  • Apply during calm conditions to minimize drift onto non-target plants.

Ingredients / Guaranteed Analysis

  • Clove Oil – Active ingredient; disrupts cell membranes on contact.
  • Lactic Acid – Accelerates cell breakdown and burn-down process.
  • Potassium Oleate – Surfactant that improves adhesion to plant surfaces.
  • Vinegar (Acetic Acid) – Contributes to rapid desiccation of plant tissue.
  • Water – Carrier base for the concentrate formula.

Derived From: Clove (Eugenia caryophyllata) essential oil, fermentation-derived lactic acid, plant-based fatty acid salts, and food-grade acetic acid.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Phydura safe to use around my vegetable garden?
Phydura is non-selective, meaning it will affect any plant it contacts. Apply carefully and avoid overspray onto desirable plants. Because it does not translocate through the soil, nearby root systems are not at risk from soil absorption.

How quickly will I see results?
Most weeds begin wilting within 30–60 minutes of application. Active die-off occurs within 24 hours. Perennial weeds with deep root systems may require multiple applications for full elimination.

Can I use Phydura in a certified organic operation?
Yes. Phydura is OMRI Listed, confirming it meets the standards for use in certified organic production under the USDA National Organic Program.

How should I store Phydura?
Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and freezing temperatures. Keep containers tightly sealed when not in use. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

How much area does a 2x2.5 gallon case cover?
Coverage will vary based on application rate, sprayer calibration, and weed density. Refer to the product label for specific dilution and coverage rate guidelines for your target application.

Is there a re-entry interval after spraying?
No waiting required — you can re-enter treated areas immediately after application. New plantings can begin within hours of spraying, making Phydura ideal for fast-turnaround growing operations.

More about Phydura - 2.5 gallon concentrate [2x2.5 Gal]:

sold in cases of 2 x 2.5 Gal bottles

OMRI Listed Phydura uses clove oil and other biodegradable ingredients (Lactic Acid, Potassium Oleate, vinegar and water) to quickly knock down and kill unwanted weeds and grasses. These ingredients work by adhering to the weed and breaking down the cell structure through a burn down process. The plants will then stress and die. Whether they are annual or perennial weeds, they will begin to wilt in 30-60 minutes and be actively dying within 24 hours. For those pesky annuals, a single application should knock them out; perennial weeds may take multiple applications before the roots are killed off.

Phydura is a non-selective herbicide, which means that all plants that come in contact with the spray will be affected. You will need to take extra care not to allow spray to contact non-target plants. Although Phydura is non-selective as an herbicide, it will not translocate in the soil to the roots of desirable plants. You will be able to enter the treatment area right after spraying and begin new plantings within hours of applications.
