Unlike orchids grown primarily for their flowers, Ludisia discolor is prized for its velvety dark green leaves highlighted by shimmering metallic veins. These starter plants have been grown from tissue culture and are not cuttings. Jewel Orchids naturally produce roots very slowly, so the root systems may be very small or only lightly developed at the time of shipping.
