The attractant will draw the fly away from the countertops, fruits and drains they love and into the DiveJar dispenser. Once they touch the substance inside the DiveJar, the disabling agent quickly goes to work to break down their exoskeleton. This prevents the fruit fly from exiting the DiveJar. There is an additional ingredient in this formulation that draws the disabled insect down into the liquid, where drowning will finish them off if the disabling agent did not. This process works the same on adults as it does on the newly hatched and feeding larvae.
