The TrolMaster DFM-2 is a 1.25-inch (3.17 cm) digital inline flow meter designed for the Aqua-X Pro NFS-2 irrigation control system. Installed directly into an irrigation mainline, it measures the real-time volumetric flow of water or nutrient solution and provides an on-site LCD readout. When paired with the Aqua-X Pro, it enables Feed by Volume irrigation, allowing watering events to start or stop based on the actual volume delivered rather than a fixed time period.

• SKU: DFM-2
• Pipe Size: 1.25" (3.17 cm)
• Meter Type: Digital inline flow-rate meter
• Compatible System: TrolMaster Aqua-X Pro NFS-2
• Measurement: Real-time volumetric water/nutrient-solution flow
• Display: Built-in LCD with on-site real-time flow readout
• Feed by Volume: Yes — enables volume-based irrigation with NFS-2
• Connection: RJ12, daisy-chain compatible
• Power: Requires TrolMaster SPH-1 hub
• Operating Temperature: 32–122°F (0–50°C)
• Operating Humidity: ≤90% RH, non-condensing
• Installation: Inline installation directly into the irrigation mainline
• Thread Adaptors: NPT tapered thread adaptors included
• Standalone Readout: LCD provides local flow information without accessing the controller
• Controller Requirement: NFS-2 required for Feed by Volume irrigation control and data logging
• Sensor Capacity: Multiple DFM-2 meters can be deployed within the NFS-2's 50-sensor capacity
• Future Expandability: Sensor architecture is designed to support potential future firmware functions such as leak and line-blockage detection
• Included: 1× DFM-2 Digital Inline Flow Meter + NPT tapered thread adaptors

Key Advantage: The DFM-2 changes irrigation from time-based delivery to volume-based delivery when paired with Aqua-X Pro. The controller can terminate an irrigation event after the programmed amount of water or nutrient solution has actually passed through the line, helping maintain more consistent shot volumes despite variations in pump performance, pressure, or emitter flow.
