- Dimming. A dimmable driver lets one fixture serve seedling through flower. Non-dimmable fixtures force you to raise the light, which wastes coverage.
- Heat and ceiling height. Passively cooled bar lights need less headroom than a panel with a heatsink. In a 6.5 ft tent, every inch of hang height counts.

Above ~900 PPFD without CO2 enrichment, plants stop converting the extra light into growth. If you're buying an 800W+ fixture for a 4x4, plan on CO2 enrichment or you're paying for photons you can't use.
