It learns the infrared commands from the AC's original remote, then automatically switches between independent lights-on and lights-off temperature setpoints. A built-in photocell detects the room's light cycle, while the included wired IR emitter sends the appropriate commands to the mini-split without requiring any modification or rewiring of the AC.

• SKU: Beta-1
• Input Voltage: 120V AC
• Maximum Current: 0.2A
• Control Method: IR signal learning + wired IR emitter
• AC Compatibility: IR-controlled mini-split and compatible remote-controlled AC units
• Temperature Control: Independent day/night temperature setpoints
• Control Modes: Cool only, heat only, or cooling + heating, depending on AC capabilities
• Day/Night Detection: Built-in photocell
• Temperature Sensor: Remote temperature sensor
• Sensor Cable: 16 ft
• Display: LCD showing current room temperature and active setpoint
• IR Learning: Learns commands directly from the AC's original remote
• IR Emitter: Included; mounts within line-of-sight of the indoor AC air handler
• Feedback Function: Re-sends IR commands if the temperature sensor does not detect the expected response
• Wiring to AC: None — communicates entirely through infrared
• Working Temperature: 32–122°F (0–50°C)
• Working Humidity: ≤90% RH, non-condensing
• AC Power Cord: 1.8 m (approx. 6 ft)
• Standalone Operation: Yes; no Hydro-X controller or network required
• Known Incompatibilities: Daikin, Mr. Cool, Innovair, Cooper, and Hunter mini-split units
• Gross Weight: 0.56 kg
• Package Contents: 1× Beta-1 Controller, 1× Signal Emitter

Key Advantage: The Beta-1 provides automated day/night temperature control for existing IR-controlled mini-splits without rewiring the AC.
