The TrolMaster DSE-1 is an emergency CO₂ shutoff module designed for the Carbon-X CDA-1 safety system. It sits between the Carbon-X controller and a CO₂ solenoid valve, supplying power during normal operation but automatically cutting power whenever Carbon-X detects a high-CO₂ fault or loses communication with the controller. This fail-closed design ensures the connected solenoid valve closes rather than allowing CO₂ injection to continue during a system or communication failure.

• SKU: DSE-1
• Brand: TrolMaster
• System Compatibility: Carbon-X, with CDA-1 controller required
• Input Voltage: 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
• Output Voltage: 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz
• Output Current: 10A
• Function: Emergency CO₂ solenoid shutoff
• Control Logic: Fail-closed — output is disabled when communication is lost
• Connection Type: RJ12
• CO₂ Equipment: 120V CO₂ solenoid valves for tanks/cylinders or generators
• High-CO₂ Response: Automatically cuts solenoid power when CDA-1 detects a high-CO₂ fault
• Communication Failure Response: Cuts output power if communication with CDA-1 is lost
• Zone Configuration: One DSE-1 per independently controlled CO₂ supply line/zone
• Status Indicator: LED power/connection indicator
• Working Temperature: 32–122°F (0–50°C)
• Working Humidity: ≤90% RH
• Package Dimensions: 85 × 80 × 90 mm
• Gross Weight: 0.34 kg
• Included: 1× DSE-1 station, 1× 16-ft RJ12 cable, 1× 4-ft RJ12 cable, 1× RJ12 T-splitter
• Carbon-X Capacity: Counts as one output device toward the system's 40-output maximum
• Standalone Operation: No — requires Carbon-X CDA-1

Key Advantage: The DSE-1 provides a dedicated fail-closed emergency shutoff for each CO₂ supply line, automatically stopping CO₂ injection not only when an unsafe CO₂ level is detected, but also when the Carbon-X controller loses communication with the station. This makes it a safety-focused output module rather than a normal CO₂ control relay.
