The Rivulis 1" MPT Air & Vacuum Release Valve (SKU 101045530) is a dual-function kinetic air and vacuum valve designed for commercial drip irrigation and fertigation systems. It exhausts large volumes of trapped air when the irrigation system starts filling and re-admits air when the system shuts down, helping prevent water hammer, pressure surges, pipe collapse, and emitter suck-back. Unlike a combination valve, it is not designed for continuous release of small air bubbles while the system is pressurized.

• SKU: 101045530
• Brand: Rivulis
• Valve Type: Air & Vacuum Release (Kinetic)
• Connection: 1" MPT (Male Pipe Thread)
• Working Pressure: 0.10–10.0 bar (1.5–145 psi)
• Maximum Operating Temperature: 60°C (140°F)
• Body Material: Premium UV- and chemical-resistant resin
• Pipe Compatibility: Metal and plastic pipe systems
• Startup Function: Exhausts large volumes of trapped air as the pipeline fills
• Shutdown Function: Re-admits air to break vacuum conditions
• Water Hammer Protection: Helps reduce pressure surges caused by trapped air
• Emitter Protection: Helps prevent substrate/media particles from being sucked back through emitters
• Sealing Pressure: Maintains a drip-tight seal at water pressures as low as 3 psi
• Installation Point: Highest point of the irrigation zone or submain
• Recommended Connection: Install into a 1" FPT tee at the high point
• Long Runs: Additional valves may be required at intermediate high points where elevation changes are significant
• Continuous Air Release: No — not intended for removing small trapped air bubbles during pressurized operation
• Chemical Resistance: Designed for agricultural fertigation; compatibility with aggressive cleaning chemicals should be verified before routine use

Key Advantage: The Rivulis Air & Vacuum Release Valve protects commercial irrigation zones from the large air and vacuum events that occur during repeated irrigation cycles, helping maintain hydraulic stability and preventing emitter suck-back.
