Athena Cuts is a water-based rooting gel formulated with 0.35% indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) to initiate consistent root development from stem and leaf cuttings. The gel coats and seals the fresh basal wound while delivering IBA directly to the cut tissue, helping support adventitious root initiation. It is part of Athena’s Culture Line and is designed for commercial propagation workflows, including conventional cuttings and tissue-culture plantlets transitioning into rooting media.

• Product Type: Water-based rooting gel
• Brand / Line: Athena / Culture Line
• SKU: TC-CUTS-8OZ
• Container Size: 8 oz (easy-squeeze bottle)
• Active Ingredient: Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) — 0.35%
• Primary Function: Root initiation and propagation of vegetative cuttings
• Recommended Cutting Length: 2–8 inches
• Basal Cut: 45-degree angle
• Application Method: Dip the freshly cut basal end into a separate portion of working gel
• Compatible Substrates: Rockwool, coco plugs, peat starters and aeroponic cloners
• Formulation: Water-based gel
• Rooting Action: Supports adventitious root initiation at the wound site
• Application Protocol: Dispense gel into a separate clean container; do not dip directly into the stock bottle
• Cross-Contamination Control: Discard unused working gel after each propagation session; never return used gel to the original container
• Packaging: Easy-squeeze applicator designed for direct-to-cube application
• Root Emergence: Typically within a few days to a few weeks, depending on cultivar and environmental conditions
• Use Case: Commercial cloning, mother-room propagation and transition of tissue-culture plantlets to conventional rooting systems

Key Advantage: Athena Cuts combines 0.35% IBA with a water-based gel carrier that keeps the rooting hormone in contact with the freshly cut tissue while coating the wound. The water-based formulation works across common propagation systems without leaving a hydrophobic residue, while the easy-squeeze bottle and separate-container application protocol help improve consistency and reduce contamination risk during high-volume cloning.
